How Newton's First Law of Motion affects seat belts.
, Newton's first law states "An object at rest will stay at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. An object in motion will stay in motion at the same speed and in the same direction unless acted on by an unbalanced force". An example of that is in a car you and the car will be moving, until an unbalanced force (a car crash) acts upon you. When you crash, the car will stop moving, but you won't. You will want to keep moving until something with more force stops you, such as a seat belt. If you are not wearing a seat belt you would continue going until you hit the wind shield, or go through the wind shield.
